I'm surprised that such a small thing can lift my spirit. Just one glimpse of fragile growth can make Spring a reality. The day is brighter, the darkness of winter driven back, the soil takes on new life.
The hope of days to come when those first green shoots become many. Their green-tipped white petals merge into glorious yellows followed by the luxury of pinks and reds.
A time of hope. A time to come out of winter rest. A time to grow.
